Hezbollah condemns the terrorist attack that targeted Egyptian army unit in Sinai

BEIRUT, May.8, (ST)- Hezbollah has strongly condemned the terrorist attack  that was carried out on the  Egyptian army unit in  Sinai, expressing its full solidarity with the Egyptian people.

 

It said in a statement issued on Sunday that what the terrorist groups have done in Sinai aims to undermine the stability and security of Egypt, divert attention from Zionist terrorism in occupied Palestine, and bring the region back into  internal conflicts.

 

Hezbollah underscored the necessity of confronting the destructive Takfiri ideology, isolating it, and confronting it with Muslim scholars, and taking all precautionary measures in the Islamic world to confront it practically and politically.

 

Yesterday, the Egyptian army announced the death  of an officer and 10 soldiers and the injury of 5 others during a clash with a terrorist group that carried out an attack on a water pumping station in the east of the Suez Canal.
