Hezbollah calls on the Lebanese state and people to take action to stop the Israeli occupation provocative measures in the town of Ghajar

On July 6th, Hezbollah called on the Lebanese state, with all its institutions, and the Lebanese people to take action to stop the Israeli occupation provocative measures in the occupied border town of Ghajar, and to return the town to Lebanon.

The party said in a statement: “The Zionist occupation forces have recently taken dangerous measures in the northern part of the border town of Ghajar, and these measures were to establish a fence and build a concrete wall around the entire town similar to what they are doing on the border between Lebanon and occupied palestine.”

The statement added: “The occupation forces imposed their complete control on the town, even on the part which is controlled by Lebanon, and subjected it to its administration. The occupation also opened the village to tourists coming from inside the Zionist entity.”

The statement stressed that this major development and these dangerous measures constitute occupation of the entire Lebanese-controlled part of the town of Ghajar by the force of arms and the imposition of a fait accompli in this area. It is not just a routine breach that the occupation forces are accustomed to commit from time to time, the statement pointed out

The statement concluded: “In the face of this dangerous development, we call on the Lebanese state with all its institutions, especially the Lebanese government, and we also call on the Lebanese people, with all their political and civil forces, to take action to prevent the consolidation of this occupation, cancel the aggressive measures it took, and work to liberate this part of our land and return it to the homeland.”
