part I
The city of Ras al-Ain and most of the areas of al-Hasakah and al-Jazira governorates are still under the yoke of the Turkish and American occupiers, and their puppets the separatist “SDF” militia and the terrorist organization “ISIS”, that kill, terrorize, arrest, steal and put pressure on the inhabitants inorder to displace them , and settle terrorists in their place. They cut off water, electricity and services to force them to flee.
According to the final statistics of international and local human rights organizations and bodies, the number of forcibly displaced people from Ras al-Ain and its towns and countryside has reached more than 165,000 citizens as a result of the Turkish occupation and its terrorist factions. This has been going on for more than three years, amid the suffering of the people in these occupied areas. Today, there are fears of more displacement as a result of the new Turkish threats to occupy other areas in northern and eastern Syria
A number of forcibly displaced families told Al-Thawra newspaper, “We remember bitterly the day the Turkish occupation forces and their affiliated factions entered the city, where we were displaced. Our private property was looted and our agricultural crops were burned before our eyes, in addition to killings, kidnappings and torture of the people of the occupied areas.
Hajj Ahmed Saleh, inhabitant of Ras al-Ain countryside, said that the Turkish occupation forces did not allow his uncle to be buried in his village, located in the southeast of the city (Ras al-Ain), which was occupied by Turkey and the terrorist factions supported by it in (October) 2019, noting that the Turkish army turned their village into a military base after bulldozing more than 15 houses in order to turn it into a field for their artillery forces. Saleh called on the international committees and their organizations to respond to the grievances of the people who hold on to their land and those who remain in their homes and work to return the displaced to their homes and property they left behind after the Turkish invasion of the region, in addition to holding the international actors responsible for their city that fell under occupation.
The displaced people of al-Hasakah (AS) also spoke about the reality of the tragedy experienced by them and the exploitation they are exposed to by raising the rental prices of homes in light of the high prices of food supplies and the control of traders, the dispersal of their families between the various regions of the province and the weak role of international organizations working in the province to provide for their needs and services and improve the conditions of the displaced, who do not receive the attention of international organizations and bodies.
As for the immigrant (Hassan. M.), who resides with his family of 6 people in Ras al-Ain camp, which was established in al-Hasakah, and which includes thousands of citizens forcibly displaced from the oppression of the Turkish forces and their terrorist factions, the dream of returning to their homes poses a great challenge, as the violations that occurred in the city and its countryside prevents them from returning to it, for fear of being killed or arrested.
He says that his house was seized by the so-called Mu’tasim Brigade, one of the terrorist factions affiliated with the Turkish army, and inhabited by a family of terrorists, and that he is afraid to return to it, especially since he was a government employee.
