Health Ministry lifts lockdown imposed on Jdeitat al-Fadl town after probable cases tested negative for Coronavirus

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The lockdown that was imposed on Jdeitat al-Fadl town in Quneitra province has been lifted after probable cases have tested negative for Coronavirus, the Syrian Health Ministry announced on Saturday .

On June 17, a 70 years old woman died because of coronavirus pandemic in Jdeidat al-Fadl. Following her death, monitoring teams started medical tests for all the persons who had close contact with the woman.

A quarantine was applied to four buildings in the town and crowds and gathering were banned.

On June, 20, a complete lockdown was imposed on the town after more coronavirus cases were detected. The aim has been to prevent the spread of the deadly virus to other areas and to maintain public health and citizens’ safety.
