Health Ministry, Iranian Red Crescent discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides

On February 16th, the Minister of Health Hassan Al-Ghabbash discussed with the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Per hossein Kolivand ways to enhance cooperation to follow up on the response to providing field and logistical support to the earthquake victims.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Health, Al-Ghabbash indicated the importance of supporting the affected people who live in shelters, and providing them with all health services to ensure that epidemics and diseases do not spread, and supplying the ministry with medical equipment such as X-ray devices that are used in orthopedic surgery, echocardiography, and orthopedic surgery supplies, in addition to medicines.

For his part, Kolivand affirmed that his country continues to send aid to the affected governorates in Syria, especially relief ones, pointing at the same time to the experiences and the trained and qualified human forces that Iran has in dealing with disasters of all kinds.

The meeting was attended by the Assistant Minister of Health and the Iranian Ambassador to Syria, Mahdi Sobhani, and the Assistant for International Affairs and Human Rights in the Iranian Red Crescent, Behnam Saeedi, and a number of directors.
