Health Ministry and UNICEF discuss ways to enhance cooperation to secure medical equipment

Damascus (ST): The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Muhammad Al-Ghabash, discussed with the Regional Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in the Middle East and North Africa, Adele Khader, ways of cooperation in securing medical equipment that provide services to citizens, in addition to giving a presentation of the efforts made in the vaccination campaign against the Corona virus.

 

Dr. Al-Ghabash underlined the importance of coordination regarding the priorities of the health sector set by the ministry and the challenges it faces in light of the unilateral economic measures and the siege imposed on Syria.

Dr. Al-Ghabash called for more support in order to provide the desired service in a timely manner to ensure the preservation of the citizens’ health, expressing his thanks for the efforts undertaken by UNICEF in Syria.
