Health Minister Discusses Development of Syrian Health System with Syrian-German Medical Association Delegation

Today, during a meeting with the first medical delegation from the Syrian-German Medical Association (Sigma), Minister of Health Dr. Musab Ali explored ways to enhance and improve the health system in Syria.

Dr. Ali highlighted that the Syrian-German Medical Association launched the “Our Pulse is One” campaign just two days ago, marking the beginning of its activities in Syria. This campaign will continue until the end of the month and serves as a symbol of solidarity among the Syrian people, both those at home and those abroad, who are providing support to Syrians within the country.

The Minister expressed appreciation for the association’s efforts and support, encouraging further cooperation.

He emphasized that this campaign is not merely a medical initiative but a message of hope to those at home, stressing that Syrians abroad are committed to helping them.

The delegation outlined their goals to provide free medical and surgical services by performing specialized operations and supporting local medical personnel. This will be accomplished in partnership with the Emergency Response and DSVS Association, along with supplying the health sector in Syria to enhance its effectiveness.

The delegation noted that they would be distributing their efforts across several Syrian governorates, offering various surgical specialties and performing critical operations for patients who cannot afford them.

Founded after the liberation, the Syrian-German Medical Association aims to support the Syrian health system, coordinate with professionals working within it, and strengthen the Syrian medical community in Germany.
