Minister of Health Hassan Al-Ghabbash and Secretary-General of the Royal Bahraini Foundation for Humanitarian Work Mustafa Al-Sayed and the accompanying high-level delegation, on Thursday discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the medical and relief fields, in order to serve the earthquake-affected people in Syria.
In a statement to reporters, Al-Ghabbash affirmed the depth of relations between Syria and the Kingdom of Bahrain, indicating that during the meeting, an agreement was reached on identifying the most necessary aid at present and on coordinating the delivery of this aid to those who deserve it.
Al-Ghabbash pointed out that a group of Bahraini doctors will join the Syrian doctors in the work to takle the health situation, thanking the Kingdom of Bahrain for this support.
In turn, Dr. Al-Sayed said that Bahrain is ready to provide all assistance that would mitigate the effects of the earthquake that struck Syria, noting that Bahrain today sent an aid plane carrying 38 tons of medical and relief materials. He stressed that Bahrain will continue to provide assistance to the Syrian people and stand by them.
