Health Minister Al-Ghabbash: Syria works to return the offices of the General Secretariat of the Arab Board of Health Specializations to its headquarters in Damascus

During his participation in the meeting of the 60th session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers in Geneva, the Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghabbash has confirmed that the Syrian government is exerting great efforts and making necessary preparations for returning the offices of the General Secretariat of the Arab Board of Health Specializations to its headquarters in Damascus.
Dr. Al-Ghabbash discussed with his counterparts the recommendations issued by the Technical Advisory Committee of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, which fall within the framework of consolidating and deepening joint Arab cooperation in the health field.
The participants agreed on several points, centered on  the health and humanitarian repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinians and  activating the work of the Arab Committee for Primary Health Care and Family Medicine.
They also focused on assigning the Arab Health Committee for Emergency Preparedness and Response to prepare an addition to an Arab health strategy that is compatible with the specificities of the affected areas on the one hand, and the specificities of Health crises on the other hand
It is worth mentioning  that the Arab Council of  Health Specializations is an Arab professional scientific body established in 1978 by the Council of Arab Ministers of Health, under the supervision  of the Arab League .
