Head of the Syrian Planning and International Cooperation Commission visits India’s NASSCOM

Chairman of the Planning and International Cooperation Commission Fadi Al-Khalil and Syria’s Ambassador in New Delhi Bassam Al-Khatieb visited the Indian National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), the premier trade body and chamber of commerce of the Tech industry in India.

This activity comes within the framework of the visit of the Syrian delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faysal Al-Mikdad to India.

Head of NASSCOM Center briefed the Syrian side on the work of the association which comprises more than 3000 member companies including both Indian and multinational organizations that have presence in India. He said that the association’s membership spans across the entire spectrum of the industry from startups to multinationals and from products to services, Global Service Centers to Engineering firms.

He clarified that the association focuses on accelerating the pace of transformation of the industry to emerge as the preferred enablers for global digital transformation.

For his part, Al-Khalil hailed India’s successes in this field and its support for Syria in the fields of agriculture and health.

Some young researchers at the center presented examples of applied programs they succeeded in setting up in several fields, including in ports, agriculture and public health.
