Head of the Slovak (Socialists) Party: The West and the Turkish regime obstruct the solution to the crisis in Syria

Bratislava (ST): The head of the Slovak Socialist Party, Arthur Bekmatov, confirmed that the West, led by the United States, and the Turkish regime are obstructing the solution to the crisis in Syria and the process of rebuilding what was destroyed by the war there.

Bekmatov stressed, in a statement today, that “were it not for Western support for terrorist and extremist organizations in Syria, and without the interventions of the United States and its allied countries, the crisis would have ended in Syria a long time ago”.He criticised the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the West on Syria at a time when the United States and the Turkish regime are occupying parts of the Syrian territory in flagrant violation of international law.

Bekmatov considered that what is happening in Syria now strongly reflects the extent of the West’s disregard for international law, pointing out that the West reaped from its intervention in Syria the exact opposite of what it wanted, thanks to the steadfastness of its people and its resistance to all foreign interference.
