Head of the Russian Muslims Spiritual Assembly condemns the terrorist crimes in Syria

Moscow, (ST) – The head of the Spiritual Assembly of Russia’s Muslims, Mufti Albert Karganov condemned the crimes committed by the remnants of terrorist groups in Syria with the support and protection of their foreign sponsors and financiers, including the terrorist bombing that targeted Sheikh Muhammad Adnan Al-Afyouni, Mufti of Damascus and its countryside.

Mufti Karganov explained, in an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow via video that,the martyrdom of the sheikh, al-Afyouni is a painful event and a great loss for all, indicating that those who commit these unfortunate acts, by their actions violate all moral and spiritual laws.

Karganov expressed his condolences to the Ministry of Endowments, to all the Syrian people and to the families of the sheikh, al-Afyouni stressing that the Muslims of Russia continue their prayers for the return of peace and stability to all parts of Syria.

Sheikh Al-Afyouni was killed as a result of a terrorist bombing that targeted his car .An explosive device planted by terrorists was left in his car in the Qudsayasuburb in Damascus countryside last Thursday.
