Head of the European Union Mission to Syria Michael Ohnmacht has stressed that it is important to see a transitional political project in which all components of the people participate. He added: Financial exchanges between Syria and other countries will be allowed.

He stressed that Europe’s decision to suspend sanctions on Syria is very important. “We need further steps towards lifting sanctions on Syria completely”, he pointed out.

“Lifting the sanctions will allow the reconstruction of important sectors such as energy and the financial sector,” he affirmed
