He who thinks the Syrian pound could collapse is mistaken,says al-Halqi

DAMASCUS, (ST) – “the government has taken appropriate measures to overcome the economic challenges and to boost the capabilities of the national economy,” said Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi

Al-Halqi’s remark was made during the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

“Syria has large supplies and reserves of different materials that are sufficient to meet the country’s needs for months to come and he who thinks that the Syrian Pound could collapse is mistaken, “underscored al-Halqi.

” government’s priority  is to secure the citizens’ requirements, wiping out  the terrorist groups and restoring security and stability,” added al-Halqi.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Walid al-Moallem, made a political presentation on the developments on the regional and international arenas.
