He is Risen

After Palm Sunday, there came the Passover when Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, delivered Jesus to the chief priests and scribes and they condemned Him to death. He was mocked, spat on , scourged, hanged on the cross, and after six hours he delivered his spirit. He humbled himself, descended from heaven to our earth, and accepted all these insults to save and take away the sin of the world.

But this was not the end. On the third day after crucifixion Jesus rose from the dead.

The preacher in the Evangelic Nazarene Church in Bloudan, Samer Namoura, said: “The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation on which Christianity rests. If Christ has not been raised then our preaching and our faith is vain, as its written, and when He rose from dead he raised us with him.”

“It is really hard for  youth to follow the commandments in our time and live as Jesus lived on earth. There are a lot of temptations that the humans, and especially the youth, can not resist. We can not forgive those who did wrong to us easily as we may feel that our pride has been  injured. Human nature is evil, and if we must rely on our power to resist Satan and his temptations and surrender completely to God and allow the Holy Spirit to live and work on us -only then can we defeat the devil, and that is why it is very important to pray and read the Bible every single day to get the power that will enable us to live like Jesus.

It is noteworthy that today we are celebrating the Resurrection, not the Easter or Passover, as Jesus was our Passover when He was crucified on the cross.
