Hazem Nao in quarter-finals

Tashkent – Tennis player Mohammad Hazem Nao has qualified for the quarter-finals in the singles competitions at the currently held Uzbekistan International Tournament, SANA reported.

Nao won over the Uzbek tennis player Sharobiddin Abzalov, who is ranked second on the tournament’s level and the 124th internationally.

 

Nao is playing today the British Matthew Summers, who is ranked 429th internationally, and if he wins, his rating will increase in International Tennis Federation Junior Rankings.

Syria’s national junior tennis team, including Nao, Rabie Salim and Talid Murad, qualified last week for Asia final qualifiers of Davis Cup scheduled for April 4-10 in India, after taking the lead in the preliminary qualifiers in Sri Lanka.

The team won over Kazakhstani counterparts in the finals.
