Washington (ST) – Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez considered a man’s attack on the Cuban embassy in Washington with two Molotov cocktails as a “terrorist act”.
“The Cuban embassy in the US was the target of a terrorist attack carried out by an individual who threw two Molotov concktails, but, luckily the Embassy staff have not been injured,” Rodriguez wrote on social media on Monday, according to Agence France-Presse.
Rodriguez affirmed that the anti-Cuban groups resort to terrorism when they feel they enjoy impunity, something Cuba has always warned the American authorities about.
It is to be noted that this is the second attack on the Cuban mission in Washington in recent years, after a man opened fire on the building in April 2020, but no injuries were reported at the time.
