“Hattan” dual exhibition represents abstract art

The Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh held a dual art exhibition for artists Ali Nafnouf and Adnan Ayoub under the title “Hattan” which means light rain.

The exhibition displays 40 paintings that represent various topics including pain, hope, the good and beauty.

Artist Ali Nafnouf  told Syriatimes that “Hattan” means the beginning of rain before the storm, a storm of feelings that is sweeping inside a worried, tired artist in this universe.

“The paintings in the exhibition depicts stories, songs and poems through drawing, so I reflect my inner feelings through these paintings” he said.

“My paintings in this exhibition do not contain one idea,  they reflect many ideas. I draw what I feel and I let the viewer to see them as he wants” Artist Ali added.

“The drawings in this exhibition are inspired by the abstract school. I used oil colors, in addition to a brush and a knife. I focused on the blue color, as it gives me a wide space for contemplation and dreaming” he said.

Artist Ali Nafnouf  participated in several collection exhibitions inside Syria, in addition to two solo exhibitions.

For his part, Artist Adnan Ayoub presented paintings inspired by abstract art. “I paint what I like and what I feel, and the viewers sees my paintings from their point of view and feeling” he said to Syria Times.

“Painting gives me psychological comfort. I have been drawing since childhood, in now I am an art education teacher” he added.

“I used acrylic, oil and water colors and I like to mix colors together to express my ideas” Artist Adnan said.

Artist Adnan Ayoub participated in several collective exhibitions and solo exhibitions  he likes to join collective exhibitions because they enrich his experience.
