Hasakah’s farmers finish harvesting the areas planted with irrigated wheat

HASAKAH, July.4, (ST)- The farmers of Hasakah Governorate have finished harvesting the areas planted with irrigated wheat in various areas of agricultural stability for the current season that reached up to 95 thousand and 200 hectares.

The Director of the Plant Production Department in the Directorate of Agriculture, Jalal Bilal, told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the harvesting of wheat has finished, while marketing it in the centers of the Syrian Grain Corporation is still on, pointing out that the current season was distinguished from previous one as no fires were registered in various agricultural areas.

It is noteworthy that the average production of per hectare of wheat planted in the governorate recorded 3 tons, especially in the northern regions and the countryside of Hasakah and Qameshli.
