Handmade traditional products of the Popular Heritage Association of the Palestinian Writers Union displayed at the Flower Fair
Damascus (ST): The Folklore Society of the Palestinian Writers Union is participating in the International Flower Fair in its 43rd session in Tishreen Park in Damascus, by displaying a number of handcrafted and sculptural heritage, which emphasize the importance of the heritage of Palestine and Syria.
In her statement to a news reporter, the director of the Popular Heritage Society in the Union, Najla al-Khadra, saw that emphasizing the right of return is the subject of all the products presented, stressing the need to prevent the theft of heritage and seek to protect and preserve it.
Al-Khadhra underlined the importance of adhering to this heritage and protecting it from loss, supporting the craftsmen who work with it, and providing fertile ground for marketing and promoting their products and advertising them as small projects.
She indicated that all the participating craftsmen work in their homes, and therefore they are keen to establish a mobile heritage market in any activity and cultural forum for the definition of traditional crafts and preserving their authenticity.
