Hama: About 30 dunums of wheat burnt due to the explosion of a mine left behind by terrorist organizations in the village of al-Jibbin

Hama (ST): The explosion of a mine left behind by the terrorist organizations in an agricultural harvester in the village of Al-Jibbin in the western countryside of Hama led to the burning of about 30 dunums of wheat fields and the destruction of a harvester.

A source in the Hama Police Command said in a statement to news correspondent that a mine left over from the terrorists of the “Al-Nusra Front” organization exploded while farmers were harvesting wheat-planted lands in the village of Jibbin, north of the town of Mhradeh in the northern countryside.

The source pointed out that the explosion damaged the harvester, burned an area of agricultural land, and destroyed about 30 dunums of wheat in addition to 200 dunums of harvested straw.

In a statement to news correspondent, Eng. Awfa Wassouf, Director of the Public Authority for the Management and Development of Al-Ghab region, said that immediately after the accident, cars and firefighting crews were sent to the scene of the explosion and the fire  was put out.

Before their humiliating defeat, the terrorist organizations planted mines and improvised explosive devices in their places of deployment and buried them in villages and towns and in agricultural lands to inflict the greatest possible damage on the people who returned to their areas after their liberation from terrorism.
