HAMA, (ST)- The Syrian state has cared about all its citizens and it has been very keen to get the missed and kidnapped people back to their families and to press ahead with national reconciliation in the country, Ali Haidar, State Minister for National Reconciliation said.
Haidar, who was speaking to a number of families displaced by the armed groups from Ma’an town of Hama countryside, said “there are systematic incitement attempts by anti Syria forces and parties aiming to distort the Syrian state’s image by claiming that the state accords no attention to the families of the Syrian martyrs and missed citizens.”
He urged the Syrians to show awareness and high sense of responsibility to confront these anti-Syria plots.
For his part, Hama Governor Ghassan Khalaf hailed the victories attained by the Syrian Arab Army in its battles against terrorists all over the country, affirming the need to meet the requirements of all Maan displaced families to alleviate their suffering and improve the conditions of their temporary stay.
Khalaf pointed out that the governorate of Hama will spare no effort to bring the 42 kidnapped and missed people of Maan town back to their families and to make the process of national reconciliation in the governorate a success.
For their parts, representatives of the displaced families called for reactivating national reconciliation, forming committees to enhance national dialogue and start reconstruction of what the armed groups had destroyed. They urged improvement of services in the northern countryside of Hama and called for helping the displaced people return to their houses in Maan after security and stability is restored to the town. They also asked for rehabilitating the infrastructure and improving the living conditions of Maan people and for providing job opportunities to affected people.
