SWEIDA,(ST)_ The Minister of State for National Reconciliation, Dr. Ali Haider stressed that national reconciliation is a plan for Syria’s revival, strength and cohesion of its institutions as a choice for the Syrians towards a better tomorrow and an attempt to retrieve all of misled Syrians to the right direction for serving their homeland.
Haidar said during a meeting with social and religious activists and families of the kidnapped and missing citizens in Sweida governorate that ” President Assad put a national reconciliation draft since the beginning of the crisis and the Ministry of State for National Reconciliation, constitutes the operational tool to the President vision,” noting that the culture of national reconciliation has become existed as a conviction within the majority of the Syrian people.
Haidar pointed out that the national reconciliation project goes in parallel with fighting terrorism and the countries supporting it, calling on all citizens to take a full role and contribute effectively to national reconciliation because Syria needs the efforts of each and every Syrian, being exposed to a direct and aggressive war to destroy Syrian state and its institutions and undermine its national stances.
“The Syrian state has maintained its prime mission as a heaven for all Syrians and have not given up its obligations and responsibilities despite the size of the plot,” Minister Haidar said adding that Syria’s enemies could not dismantle the state institutions which “remained coherent, especially the Syrian Army institution as a symbol of sovereignty and independence.
He expressed the belief that the presidential elections gave a message to the whole world that the Syrians are capable of making the future of their country away from any foreign interference or dictates, noting that hostile threats will not discourage the Syrians from performing their duties toward their country, calling to beware of brokers who claim representing national reconciliation, stressing that “the ministry issued no card to this end and any card under this title is forged.”
Interventions by the audience centered on the need to seek all ways and means to identify and determine the fate of the missing and returning back of abducted civilians to their families and proceeding into the national reconciliation project to eliminate the crisis
The meeting was attended by Seweida Governor Atef Naddaf and governorate officials concerned.
Then, minister Haidar visited sheiks of Muslim monotheists in Syria, Youssef Jarboue, Hikmat al-Hajri and Hammoud Henawi who stressed the importance of working to strengthen national unity and to stand by the Syrian army against terrorism, and terrorists and their obscurantist attitudes and support the efforts of national reconciliation in all areas in order to achieve and security and stability all over the country.
