Hague: London, Paris to lift EU Ban of Arms Transfer to Syria

LONDON,(ST)_In a new sign on the involvement of Britain and France in shedding the Syrian blood  and plotting against Syria  to protect their interests and the interests of the colonial powers and Israel, British Foreign  Office Secretary William Hague said that  London and Paris will continue to work to lift the EU ban  on the transfer of arms to Syria.

AFP quoted Hague as saying that “Britain and France are convinced of the need for new amendments to an arms embargo imposed by the EU and even the need to overturn it totally.”

He explained  he will talk on the issue  of arming what he called “opposition” during the next meeting of the so-called “Friends of Syria”  group on Saturday in Istanbul and  in Luxembourg next Monday with the  EU foreign ministers .
