MOSCOW, (ST)_Syria’s Ambassador to Russia Dr. Riyad Hadda has declared that the strong and historic relations between Damascus and Moscow and their armies have helped eliminate the terrorist groups that have posed a threat to both Syria and the whole world as well as to all human values.
Speaking in a celebration held in Moscow to mark the 8th anniversary of the establishment of the “Union of Russian veteran soldiers who have served in Syria”, Haddad made it clear that despite the major victories achieved over terrorism there are still terrorist groups in north Syria.
“These terrorist groups receive direct support from the Turkish occupation forces, which perpetrate brutal crimes against Syrian citizens and humanity,” the ambassador added, referring to the fact that the Turkish occupation forces’ savage acts are being done in parallel with the siege being imposed on Syria by the US and its allies.

On his part, Chairman of the “Union of Russian veteran soldiers who have served in Syria”, Sergey Timokhin, talked about cooperation between Russian and Syrian armies in fighting terrorism.
