Haddad, Primakov discuss the situation of Syrian students in Russia

MOSCOW, (ST)_Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Dr. Riyad Haddad on Monday discussed with Director of the Russian Agency for International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) Yevgeny Primakov the way of enhancing bilateral relations in the field of higher education and culture.
 
The talks during the meeting dealt with the situation of the Syrian students who are studying in Russia in light of the outbreak of the coronavirus.
 
Ambassador Haddad hailed the scholarships provided by Russia for the Syrian students at different university stages, stressing the need to find out new means to help the students pursue their study amid the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
 
On his part, Primakovpo pointed out that providing the classrooms at the agency’s representations in a number of countries, including Syria with the required equipment and devices for distance learning is under study.
