Gunmen kill a tribal dignitary and his son in Deir Ezzor countryside

DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- One of the dignitaries of the Al-Akidat tribe and his son were martyred after unidentified persons opened fire at them in the village of Hawayj Thiban in Deir Ezzor eastern countryside where the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia has control.

Unidentified persons riding a motorbike shot dead Sheikh Atliosh Al- Shaitat, one of the notables of the Al-Akidat tribe, and his son in the village of Hawayj Thiban, local sources told SANA reporter.

The SDF militia, with full American-Zionist support, have killed a number of national figures and tribal leaders, including Sheikh Matashar Al-Hafl, who was assassinated by SDF militants in cold blood last September.
