Athens (ST): Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that Turkey endangers regional security through its illegal acts and practices to the east of the Mediterranean.
France Press Agency quoted Mitsotakis as saying during his meeting with a senior official at the Chinese Communist Party that Turkey undermines international law and endangers regional security through its attempt to change the geographic status in the region.
He affirmed that Turkey had to stop its threats directed to Greece before holding any talks to ease tension to the east of the Mediterranean.
The Greek official went on to say that the Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias would brief the UN Secretary General on the Turkish illegitimate practices later today.
Earlier, Turkey and Cyprus had called on the EU and NATO not to tolerate the Turkish regime’s aggressive acts which destabilize the region.
