Greece holds the Turkish regime responsible for the sinking of a migrant boat and the death of 4 children
Athens (ST): The Greek authorities blamed the Turkish regime for causing the sinking of a boat carrying illegal immigrants, resulting in the death of four children and the loss of a person off the Greek island of Chios in the Aegean Sea near the Turkish coast.
Greek Migration Minister Notis Mitarachi, in a tweet he posted on his account on Twitter today, criticized the Turkish regime’s failure to make efforts to prevent the exploitation of migrants by criminal gangs, saying, “These trips should not even take place, this is the reality of the exploitation of criminal gangs.” for migrants in the Aegean Sea.
Mitarachi added, “It is tragic, but despite all the efforts made by the Greek coast guard, four boys between the ages of 3 and 14 were confirmed dead, one person missing, 22 people rescued and taken to land.”
Last April, the Minister of Immigration condemned the Turkish regime’s continued provocations by pushing boats carrying migrants into its territorial waters.
