Greece conducts military maneuvers in the Mediterranean in response to the violations of the Turkish regime
On August 24, Greece announced that its air and naval forces will conduct military maneuvers in the eastern Mediterranean region, where the Turkish regime is violating international laws and exploring for oil and gas.
The Associated Press quoted Greek officials as saying that the military exercises will start on August 25 with live ammunition for a period of three days, southeast of the largest Greek island of Crete, in light of the dispute with Turkey, which has a research ship accompanied by warships that are surveying for oil and gas exploration in the region.
This escalation comes after the Turkish regime revealed through a map it published its ambitions to explore for gas in areas off the coast of Greek islands, where it recently sent a seismic survey ship accompanied by two military vessels off the shores of the Greek island of Kastelorizo in the southeast of the Aegean Sea, which angered Greece, which it warned that it will respond forcefully.
