Damascus (ST): The Syrian Investment Authority granted an investment license for a project to produce and assemble solar energy panels in Hama Governorate, at an estimated investment cost of 3.6 billion Syrian pounds, and with an annual production capacity of 90,000 panels.
The authority said on its Facebook page that the project is expected to provide 100 job opportunities, noting that its importance comes in securing solar panels for the local market and reducing the import bill with the possibility of exporting part of the production.
The authority indicated that the project establishment period is two years, starting from the date of granting the investment license.
