Grand Mufti Urges Syrian Expatriates to Refute Misleading Media’s Claims about Syria

 DAMASCUS, (ST)- Syria’s Grand Mufti Badr Eddin Hassoun has called on the Syrian expatriates to convey the real image about what is going on in Syria to the countries where they live and urged them to work as refute the claims being promoted in the misleading media outlets about events in Syria.

Meeting a delegation representing the Syrian community in Italy led by Jamal Abu Abbas, the mufti said the Syrian people is be victorious thanks to their rallying behind their leader and army.

 He stressed the Syrian expatriates’ important role in supporting their homeland in all domains, urging them to take part in the country’s reconstruction process and to contribute to alleviating the impacts of the terrorist aggression on their home country.

On his part, leader of the expatriates delegation Jamal Abu Abbas affirmed the community’s keenness on supporting and enhancing the steadfastness of the Syrian people and army in their battle against terrorism.

He said the visit of the delegation, which comprises a number of Italian academics accompanying the expatriates, aims at refuting the image promoted by misleading media outlets about Syria.

The delegation comprised expatriate Syrian businessmen and academics as well as a number of Italian academics.
