Governor of the Central Bank of Syria :Lifting sanctions is a crucial step towards restoring economic stability

Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Abdul Qadir Hasria said “Lifting sanctions is a crucial step towards restoring economic stability and the recovery of the country. ”

He added : The Syrian people have suffered for a long time from the effects of these sanctions, which have restricted access to the global financial system and directly impacted their livelihoods. ”

Hasria pointed out that: “We thank everyone who has supported Syria, especially our brothers in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey, as well as our friends in Britain and the European Union for their diplomatic efforts and commitment to supporting stability and development in our country.”

The governor stressed ” Lifting the sanctions presents a significant opportunity to realize a vision for a prosperous economy and to plan for the development of monetary tools, enhance transparency, and ensure financial discipline.”

“This decision will open the door to a new phase of openness and integration with the global economy.” He said
