Governor: Damascus is preparing to reintroduce itself to the world through various projects

Damascus Governor Maher Marwan stressed during his speech at the Arab-European Cities Dialogue Forum held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, that:

Damascus is preparing to reintroduce itself to the world through projects that touch various aspects of life.

Preparing a vision for the capital, digital transformation, energy and environment, culture and tourism, civic engagement, and focusing on partnerships and enhancing cooperation.

Damascus is open to cooperation with cities that share our vision for transformation, particularly in urban planning based on national identity and heritage to keep pace with development, and to exchange expertise in smart governance.

The greatest achievement is the liberation from the old regime, which was an impenetrable barrier to community participation and fruitful international relations.

The biggest challenge is the process of balancing rapid urban growth and improving the quality of life in countries around the world, and the pressures and needs in various fields in nascent economic conditions and deep-seated debris.
