DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Cabinet has vowed to continue meeting all the needs of the civilians who left eastern Ghouta where they were trapped for years and used as human shields by terrorist groups in Ghouta of Damascus Countryside.
In a meeting on Sunday chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, the cabinet decided to increase the number of temporary housing centers for the Ghouta civilians and to provide shelter, food, medicines as well as public services including water and electricity to these civilians.
Agriculture
The cabinet also decided to ensure the funding necessary to buy the cotton crops from farmers with encouraging prices aiming to preserve this important national agricultural wealth.
Oil
During the meeting, Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources presented a review about the implementation rates of the services projects that aim to assist citizens in Deir Ezzor as well as the current works to restore all services to the city, including opening the roads, renovating schools and health centers and ensuring water, electricity, communications and fuel.
The cabinet affirmed that all ministries should work at a high pace to accomplish all the services projects in Deir Ezzor and to meet citizens’ needs
Financial contribution at SYP 3,8 billion to carry out services and development projects in Lattkia, Homs, Hama and Sweidaa was also agreed on by the cabinet.
