Government Keen to Boost Industrial Cities, Provide Suitable Environment for Industrial Projects: Premier

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The government is keen to enhance the country’s industrial cities and zones and to provide industrialists with suitable environment to carry out their projects, Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi has underscored.

The premier, who was speaking on Sunday to the newly elected head and members of the Homs Chamber of Industry, affirmed the importance of partnership and cooperation between the government and the private sector, particularly the Industry chambers, in making the national economic and industrial decision and in drawing up plans that serve all-out development.

 

He urged focus on small and medium-sized enterprises and called for benefiting from vocational education graduates and for disseminating the use of alternative energy.

Al-Halqi hailed the role the industry chambers can play in boosting and promoting national industries and in producing competitive goods in local and world markets.
