DAMASCUS, (ST)- The government team, in charge of taking measures necessary to confront the coronavirus, held a meeting on Tuesday chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis to review the situation of the spread of the coronavirus regionally and internationally.
In the light of these discussions the team made several decisions. It set June 21 as a date for starting the exams for the basic education and high school in Syria in case no developments happen as regards to the spread of coronavirus in the country.
The team also decided to continue with the curfew previously set from 7.30 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. and the suspension of public transportation.
The lockdown imposed between cities and rural areas within the same province will be lifted for four days in order to facilitate the movement of workers between the city and the countryside.
Also, the movement of citizens among provinces is allowed Thursday, Friday and Saturday for one time to facilitate travelling among the Syrian provinces.
Dentists’ clinics are allowed to resume their work every day from the morning until 5.00 p.m.
In addition, the team asked the ministries of tourism, health, local administration and interior to specify clear health standards to re evaluate the services rendered at tourist facilities after the coming Eid al-Fitr.
