Latakia (ST): The strong presence of distinguished Syrian youth in international competitions was recently crowned with gold and silver medals achieved by creative youth and students who were able to prove their scientific merit and their ability to compete in international competitions and sit on the throne of advanced results to raise the name of their country high.
The 17-year-old girl, Jana Noaman, expressed her happiness in winning the gold medal in the World Applied Physics Olympiad 2022, which was organized remotely by Indonesia at the end of last April, with the participation of 20 countries, indicating that it is her second experience globally after the Colom-grove Readings Conference, in which she won a bronze medal in the field of chemistry.
As for the nature of the competition, Jana explained that it took place in 3 stages, the first of which is a question to be solved, then writing a research paper in which the student assumes a solution with a full explanation of the details and clarification of the most prominent points, in particular, recording a video about the scientific phenomenon, explaining what was reached, and finally discussing it before an arbitration committee for evaluation and issuance of the results.
Noaman indicated that this achievement doubled the responsibility entrusted to her towards her country and gave her greater confidence for more work and diligence and to move forward in the path of success and excellence.
