Baghdad (ST): Syrian archery player Shorouq Al-Masry won two medals (gold and silver) in the first Arab indoor archery championship in Iraq.
Al-Masry won the gold medal in the overall standings, while she won the silver medal in the individual competition.
The coach accompanying Al-Masry in the tournament, Karen Sorour, said: The competition was strong among the participating teams, which include (Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, Jordan, Sudan, Kuwait, Morocco, Egypt and Qatar), noting that the player Al-Masry snatched the gold medal in the overall standings with merit to continue her distinction at the Arab level. She had previously won five medals in the Arab Championships in Mauritania last year, which were gold, two silver and two bronze.
