Golan will remain the compass for all honest people, says Lebanese Democratic Party

Beirut, (ST) – The Lebanese Democratic Party affirmed its stand by the people of the occupied Syrian Golan in their battle to defend their land, identity and existence, stressing that the Golan will remain Arab in identity and will remain the compass for all honorable people in this nation.

The party condemned in a statement that SANA received a copy of that, the Zionist enemy‘s settlement and displacement plans, the most recent of which is given under the cover of establishing “turbines”, referring to the occupation’s seizure of thousands of dunams of agricultural land.

In its statement, the party saluted our people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan, calling on international organizations, especially the United Nations, to intervene immediately to stop the occupation’s attacks and violations against our people in Golan.

General Mustafa Hamdan, Secretary of the leadership body of the Independent Nasserite Movement “Al-Mourabitoun“, affirmed, in a similar statement, the support of the sons of the occupied Syrian Golan in their struggle against the occupation’s plans.

Hamdan pointed out that the resistance of our people in the Golan confirms that Syria was and will remain united with its people.

More than twenty people from our people in the occupied Syrian Golan were injured today during the Israeli occupation forces ’attempt to disperse them while they were gathering between the occupied villages of in Majdal Shams and Mas’adain protest against the occupation’s plan to establish wind turbines on their lands.

Our people in the occupied Syrian Golan announced the start of a general strike that includes all life facilities, disrupting schools and education, and heading to the lands on which huge wind turbines are to be built to prevent the Israeli occupation authorities from implementing their expansion plan on the residents’ properties and lands.
