Ghazal and Khribin named best athletes of 2017

 

Damascus – High jumper Majd Eddin Ghazal and football player Omar Khribin won the title of “Best Athlete of 2017” based on the of a referendum conducted by the sports journalists committee, with the participation of 66 journalists from different local media, SANA reported.

Ghazal ranked first, scoring 163 points, and female swimmer Bayan Jum’a 2nd with 67 points, while the 3rd place went to swimmer Firas Moualla, scoring 39 points.

In a similar referendum, Omar Khribin won the title of “Best Football Player” achieving 141 points, and 2nd place went to Omar al-Soumah (104 points) while Ibrahim Almeh came in the 3rd place with 64 points.
