GFP Signs Contract to Buy 3,000 Tractors from Iran

Damascus – The General Federation of Peasants (GFP) in Syria signed here on Friday a contract with the Iranian company “Traktor Manfactornk” to buy 3,000 tractors to be sold to farmers.

The head of the GFP, Ahmed Saleh Ibrahim, stressed during the signing of the contract at the headquarters of the Federation in Damascus the Federation’s keenness to provide tractors for farmers at appropriate prices under loans from the Agricultural Cooperative Bank, pointing to the importance of contracting with the Iranian company specialized in the production of agricultural machinery.

For his part, the Director of the Iranian Company, Eng. Abul Fotouh Ibrahimi, pointed out the commitment of his company to supply tractors to Syria according to the time specified in the agreement, indicating that the Iranian tractors have modern specifications suited to the nature of agricultural work in Syria.

For his part, the Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Peasants Khalid Khazal said that the purchase of this large quantity of tractors comes within the framework of the GFP’s keenness to contribute effectively to modernize and develop the requirements of agricultural production and provide various types of facilities according to the possibilities available to farmers.

 

He pointed out that the tractors that have been contracted will be able to 47 horsepower and 75 horsepower and are guaranteed for one year from the date of purchase and that the company will provide maintenance and repair services through its workshops in the provinces.
