Germany: Negotiations Only Way to End Crisis in Syria

BERLIN- Germany’s Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has stressed that the only way to end the crisis in Syria is to hold “negotiations on political solution”.

Reuters quoted Steinmeier as saying yesterday to the “Deutsche Zeitung” newspaper that “the way to end violence in Syria is dialogue to reach political solution even though it makes negotiations with President Bashar Al-Assad necessary.

Earlier, the US Secretary of State John Kerry acknowledged in an interview with the American CBS News Network that his country should negotiate with President Al-Assad to end the war in Syria.

“We have to negotiate with President Al-Assad in the end,” Kerry said.
