German Special Envoy to Syria: We welcome the lifting of sanctions on Syria

German Special Envoy to Syria Stefan Schneck stated: “We welcome the lifting of sanctions to help Syrians rebuild their country and move toward a free and democratic future.

Since the fall of the Assad regime, we have worked to lift sanctions for the benefit of all Syrians.”

He added that in February, the most significant sanctions were lifted in the fields of finance, transportation, and energy.

Schneck emphasized that they will continue to cooperate with the Syrian government to improve the business environment and attract investment to help the Syrian economy recover.
