German magazine: The wide participation in the presidential elections in Syria reveals the West’s lies

Berlin (ST): The German Contra Magazine has affirmed that the success of the presidential elections in Syria refuted the Western propaganda towards this process and the attempts of the toxic Western media to thwart it.

The magazine said in an article that the re-election of Dr. Bashar al-Assad as president confirms that the Syrian people, who refused to submit after years of the terrorist war against them, chose their president again, noting that the wide participation of the Syrians in the presidential elections and the scenes of joy that prevailed after the elections revealed the lies of the West .

The magazine added that the shameful silence in the Western media about the outcome of the elections had previously appeared when the Syrian army liberated towns and villages from terrorists and ignored the Syrians’ stand regarding the liberation operations and the restoration of their peaceful lives.

The magazine went on to say that prior to the elections, the United States and Western countries tried to spoil the democratic will in Syria by describing the elections as neither “fair nor free” and tried to thwart them.

The magazine also confirmed that the Syrian people showed the possibility of resisting the attempts of tyranny practiced by the US administration with its allies, and remained firm in its determination to uphold its unity, calling for the trial of dozens of Western politicians for the war crimes they committed against Syria and its people.
