German Foreign Ministry highly appreciates Trump’s announcement to lift sanctions on Syria

The German Foreign Ministry welcomed the announcement of US President Donald Trump to lift sanctions on Syria.

It confirmed its continued work with the Syrian government to improve the economic environment and achieve a sustainable recovery of the Syrian economy.

The ministry said on the “X” platform today: Germany, since the fall of the defunct regime, has supported the lifting of sanctions on Syria in the fields of finance, transport and energy.

It added: We work with our partners hard to help the Syrians rebuild their country and seek a free and democratic future, and that the transitional process in Syria be comprehensive.
