Geneva Conference will not Substitute Syrians Right to self-Determination- Haidar

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Minister of State for National Reconciliation Dr. Ali Haidar said that the conference, agreed to be held on Syria in Geneva will not substitute the Syrian people’s right to determine their future on the table of  national dialogue .

“The international conference should be held on the basis that Syria’s interest is above all and to be a prelude to prepare the environment to launch substantive inter-  Syrian dialogue rather  taking decisions on behalf of  the Syrian people.” Haider said in an interview with the Syrian Arab TV yesterday.

Haider explained that halting  violence is a key step to starting inter- Syrian dialogue on solid ground and to find a national solution to the crisis, pointing out that the International Conference will not be for  confiscating  the Syrian people’s right to decide their own future.

Haider continued that the Lebanese army  given support  and momentum by the Lebanese people blocked  the road to discord attempts  to ignite the situation   in Sidon and from there   expand  to larger areas .

He indicated  that the phenomenon of Ahmed al-Aseer is  supported by all the enemies of Syria as part of several tools of the US anti resistance  project in the region.

He underlined  that national reconciliation is the ultimate goal of the political project to resolve the crisis in Syria and that the Ministry of State for National Reconciliation made considerable strides  in dealing  with detainees and kidnapped files  and weapon bearers who want  to drop their arms and   redeem .
