General strike in occupied Syrian Golan

Occupied Syrian Golan (ST) – In commemoration of the 42nd anniversary of the comprehensive strike in rejection of the false Israeli occupation decision to annex the Golan, a general strike took place today in the villages of occupied Syrian Golan, namely Majdal Shams, Beq’ata, Mas’adah and Ein Qinieh. The Syrian national flag was raised in the villages’ squares on this occasion to confirm the people’s adherence to the Syrian identity and belonging.

According to SANA reporter, the strike covered all life facilities in these villages, as schools and shops were closed and the squares of the occupied villages were decorated with the Syrian flag. Hundreds of Golan residents gathered in Majdal Shams to show their adherence to their Syrian Arab identity and belonging to their land and rejecting the occupation.

The citizens affirmed that they will continue the struggle and resist all occupation measures until the entire Golan returns to the homeland, affirming that they will not accept any identity other than the Syrian Arab identity.
