ALEPPO, (ST)- The people of Manbej in Aleppo eastern countryside on Sunday organized a general strike protesting the practices of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the city.
In a phone call, local sources in Manbej told SANA reporter in Aleppo that the shops in Manbej were shut down and the locals stayed at home, thereby stopping all forms of normal life in the city in protest against the practices of the SDF members who keep forcing the city’s young men and girls to join their ranks.
“Manbej is being exposed to a conspiracy by Israel and America’s agents who want to steal the land, change the principles and distort the morals and social traditions prevailing in the city,” said the sources, stressing that more procedures are to be adopted against the SDF groups.
On October 27, nine people, including a woman, were wounded after SDF groups targeted hundreds of displaced locals of al-Mshallab neighborhood in the eastern outskirts of Raaqa while gathering in an attempt to return to their houses after they were displaced as a result of clashes between armed groups and Daesh terrorists in addition to the airstrikes of the US-led Coalition against residential areas.
