General Secretariat of Arab Parties’ Conference condemns Israeli practices against people in occupied Syrian Golan

The General Secretariat of the General Conference of Arab Parties condemned the recent Israeli aggression and criminal practices against the people in the occupied Syrian Golan, through which the occupation seeks to steal thousands of agricultural dunums under the pretext of building wind turbines.

In a statement, the secretariat considered that the recent attacks on the people in Golan, the arrest of a large number of them, including clerics, and shooting the demonstrators rejecting the occupation and its brutal measures in Palestine, confirm that the occupation plans have the same goals, which necessitates that resistance should be unified and strong.

The Secretariat saluted the uprising of our steadfast people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan, rejecting the attempts of the occupation to steal its agricultural lands. It expressed its pride and admiration for their firm and national stances and their honorable and continuous struggle against the brutal occupation and its settlement plans.

The General Secretariat affirmed that the brutal attacks of the Israeli occupation forces on the occupied Syrian Arab Golan are considered a flagrant violation of international law, human rights law and the provisions of the UN Charter.

The General Secretariat expressed its confidence that the Israeli occupation of the Syrian Arab Golan will come to an end, and that all its illegal settlement projects and plans are null and void and constitute a flagrant violation of Security Council Resolution No. 497 of 1981, which considered the Zionist entity’s decision to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration on the occupied Golan as null and void and has no legal effect.
